Just Traded Dahlin for 1/2 Toronto’s Team

Created by: BigBeardBurns
Team: 2018-19 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 13, 2018
Published: Apr. 13, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Lineup can b messed around with, but with a super strong C core, Lehner holding up in net until Ullmark’s 100% ready (in which case then, Lehner’s traded), and some developing youth on Defense, this team looks better to me.

TML desperatly needs a top RD
you go after a LD lol

Boqvist is a far better fit for TML then Dahlin
Boqvist's offensive upside is really high and he's the best RD in the draft.

This is good for a chuckle. Probably works for both sides, but so many darn people changing sides.... it would be pretty amazing.

Well, with Toronto having all this space, Y not get a JC or something in FA and go into cap hell after Dahlin signs his 1st extension (that’s a later problem, tho).

For Buffalo, as long as they can sign Gardiner long term, right away, he's as good as your average top five pick defenseman. Maybe Dahlin really lands and is better. Maybe not. Maybe Gardiner is the best player in the trade, and they've also added two late first picks, and some junk, but cheaper junk than they had. Like, even if JVR and Bozak don't sign, this is not too shabby of a return. I don't see Buffalo being impatient, though, and I'm not totally up on the odds of landing a good or a great player at any particular spot within a 1st round.

With that new lineup, I dont think so! ROR AND Bozak would kill on PK and Defensively, and with Eichel’s shot and JVR’s net front presence on the PP, they’d wreck there, too. This team is definitely improved from 2017-18 Sabres.
