he's a LW who plays RW , digs out pucks and hits while scoring greasy goals .
he's perfect for the oilers unlike most of their forwards he's more comfortable on his off wing .

Rychel is a straight up LW when brought to Laval Chris Terry was leading the AHL in scoring and had to move to RW so Rychel could take top LW as Kerby's back hand and stick work in shutting down shooting lanes is to weak to play off wing

thats about all you'll keep with Mcdavid's cap and paying a back up goalie like a starter .
Cap isnt going up that much and the Lucic contract really tied your guys hands hard
its like your GM is trying to sabotage you

Go onto Edmonton Oilers and check out the contracts. Russell/Sekera are moveable and Lucic might be. They're not in a great spot, but moving your second best forward on the team is the incorrect move boys sorry.

We all understand that Drai will never be trade... but do the Oilers would look better and is it fair?
Drai + Sekera for Pacc, Lekhonen (or Carr), Schlemko, 2019-1st

we said that for years about plekanec , i wish we would have moved him before the speed of the game made it a younger game limiting the years he can impact at an NHL level and by proxy his value .
the issue is you're thinking about keeping life long oilers and that route will never lead to cups
