Why would price go to another rebuilding team?

Are they though if Tavares stays in NY, Pacioretty agrees to an extension and Price fills that much needed #1 goalie position?

Let's be serious for a minute, when's the last time you saw 7 valuable pieces for 2 star player?? Usually when there are alot of elements in a trade, there are 2 very valuable ones and the rests are swap of dissapointing prospects or ahler.

Nobody is trading you a top #2 C for Weber or Price. You get as many chances as you can at the draft. Unless you want to package Galchenyuk, Juulsen and a 1st? I dont think so

2 31+ years old star players on expensive contract dont return you garanteed top line forwards or top pairing dmen. Montreal needs a rebuild with as many picks as possible. The cupboards are empty and they arent winning the cup for at least another 5 years. Time to do what's best for the franchise.

I agree with all of that but Price is in MTL to stay buddy, like it or not. But it's time to go young and draft alot i agree on that, the habs have the worst prospect pool in the NHL no joke, even the pens who been trading their picks and drafting late have a better future than we do, its pathetic really ;S

They absolutely need to find a way to trade Price, he's the reason we trade top 5 or 18th+ overall. Lets hope he privately ask Bergevin to trade him.

I wouldn't bet on it if i were you. Alot more chances to see other guys go. But i guess it can happen if Pricey does ask a trade.

Rebuilding teams don't need one right away. That's what draft picks are for.
