Top Shelf Where Momma Hides The Cookies Part 2.... MIN NYI CAR PIT EDM

Created by: wagsnags
Team: 2018-19 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 18, 2018
Published: Apr. 18, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is my second shot at Operation Dumba.

I took into consideration the feedback from my first attempt. I hope this is more to your liking.

I scraped the Washington deal as my resident Caps expert (who I really trust) said the Caps would need more than I am willing to give up..... NO TRADE WITH YOU!

The EDM trade was a what the heck late addition. I had no idea what the value of Caleb Jones is and figured if Bogo was healthy he would be a real positive addition to the Oilers. If that deal does not work Bogo can work it out in Buffalo or end up on LTIR.

I would be signing Smith, Bailey, Suste & Pateryn to 2 way contracts.

As always your feedback both positive and negative is always welcomed and appreciated.

        Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate the information.

        I will take that into consideration with the next team I put together.

        What if the Sabres took back Sekera? I am not sure I want to but something to think about.

        If you're going to go for Dumba, you may as well use ROR to improve LHD (if no Dahlin) or get a top 6 LWer, and keep Dumba on his strong side. Risto would greatly benefit from getting a lesser load. Also Dumba is an RFA you dont need to over pay him to keep him, worst case scenario they go to arbitration (comment you made on the other post).

        This blueline is really good. I think they at least get close to the playoffs... or at least go as far as their centers carry them, each year.

        You have one right handed defenseman.

        Five stars for trading O'Reilly.
        I think all but the last trade is workable. Bogosian has value, he is young. plays hard, has talent, I would not just throw him away. Since trading him would most likely involve salary retention just keep him for one year. Then if he does not work out then buy him out.

        Bogosian can eat minutes when he's healthy. He can put up a couple points now and then. He's only 27. Agreed on keeping him and playing. Almost wonder if he and Beaulieu work as a 3rd pairing, with mostly offensive zone starts...really sheltered, to try to each get their puck moving game back together?

        Also, on Edmonton, you know Ethan Bear is not an actual bear, right? just a defenseman with a funny name? Because when someone goes -11 in 18 NHL games, and people still talk about them like they're good, I would kind of hope they have giant claws and fangs and weight at least six hundred pounds, dry. But when I look at this guy's picture, I guess I just don't see it.

        As always thanks for the information.... your feedback makes me think which in turn makes my wife laugh as it is a real funny site me thinking!!!!!

        A few questions:

        1. Shibbal18 what do you think is the appropriate contract number for Dumba;
        2. Shibbal18 did you have a Dman in mind to pair with Risto;
        3. Shibbal18 did you have a top 6 LWer in mind;
        4. Eli, Dylan & GMTD I will 86 the Edmonton Trade in my next version and leave Bogo on the Sabres;

        Thanks for weighing in..... but not interested in sending Bogo, Larsson & a 3rd having to take back Russell at $4,000,000..... I will just keep Bogo at $5,142,857 and worst case he ends up on LTIR.

        It could be.... if I remember correctly the max is only for the AHL club on a 2 way contract..... so if a player signs a 2 way deal that pays him $1,250,000 if playing for the NHL team then if he is sent down to the minors the max for the minors would be $925,000 (I am assuming your information is accurate as I know mine is probably and most certainly is wrong).
