JVR deal won't happen and no thanks on Kesler for another 4 years, but love the Teravainen trade

Kesler was more of a fallback option if we can't get Tavares or another top center. I'd rather have Kesler than Steen tbh

Steen only has 2 years left Kesler has 4, neither are ideal players to have at 35 years old. Would rather sign Stastny then get Kesler.

Steen actually has 3 years left. So it's a one year difference. I do not believe Stastny would re-sign and I think the blues need something differed. Age 28-32 Stastny didn't help much, so I do not think an older one would be any different

Not saying I want Stastny but just saying signing him for a couple years would be better than trading for a 34 year old Kesler. Again neither is a great option but if you are trying to keep the blues at a bubble team that makes or barely misses playoffs every year and never wins a cup then this is the right move.

The sad thing is that is what I feel Armstrong will have us be...He seems afraid to go all in. STL needs a cup with a Tarasenko, Schwartz, Schenn, Petro in their primes.
