Description
New #1 to take the stress off of Getzlaf. Bogosian plays the style they want, big and physical. O’Reilly is a major improvement at center and can take a lot of the burden in terms of d-zone starts and face offs on pp, pk and basically every situation.

You really don't want Bogosian o. your defence. Kesler isn't waiving his NMC for Buffalo.

i dont think that it would matter Bogo mostly plays golf during the season because of injuries.

Bogo is good enough he just is made of glass. He could have been a top pairing guy

I think its a start but the Sabres would want some more if theyre retaining on Bogo and taking on dead weight with Kesler

Idk if retaining on Bogo is a favor or a necessity honestly. Kesler can realistically take on all of the defensive assignments ROR didnfor us and he should be able to rebound his offense a bit with Reinhart. And I really like Montour coup

they'd be paying 8 million for a defensive forward who at best adds 14 goals, I also dont see him playing much with Reinhart. Id say if anything hes 2C until Mittelstadt matures, then he's 3C

i'm in on montour. i think he's just going to keep improving. i saw him play in the AHL a lot last year. looked like everyone else was in slow motion. him and guhle on a future pairing would be fun to watch if nothing else. i'm not thrilled about retaining on bogosian when we have to eat kesler's entire contract. i'd ask for gio fiore to be thrown in. scored 18 goals in first season in the AHL as an undrafted player and would help our left wing depth.

Kesler would never waive, and there's no way O'Reilly is #1 center over Getzlaf, especially with that line. Montour is a great young NHL defender, so why would you give that away for a mediocre defensemen like Bogosian? Your lineup also makes no sense. You're swapping wingers' sides like its nobody's business, and Blandisi is not ready to be an NHL center. Also, send Max Jones to the AHL. He needs ice time to develop, so having him as a spare doesn't make sense. Lastly, Larsson isn't ready to be a 2nd line defenseman.
