Unglamourous bar one big trade

Created by: CaptJosef
Team: 2018-19 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 19, 2018

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
In Jensen and Auvitu you get two solid skaters, one with offensive skill, the other stay at home. Both are perfect for the 3rd pair and it wouldn't hurt if one had to jump up the roster for a spell (with Myers also in the AHL ready for a call up). They also have Gudas for competition who isn't a write off.

The big trade is to get into the top 2 or 3 in the draft. I think it's a fair trade I'm sure others wont. Two mid-round firsts, Hagg (a good D prospect who is basically surplus to requirements here when Provorov, Ghost, Sanheim, Myers, and Morin are factored in), and Twarynski who just had a big WHL season and has already put up a couple of AHL point in his first few games. Add in that they move Ryans contract and only have to take back McDonald in return and I'd say the pro's well outweigh the con's.

You and I just love those comments that tell nothing.
IDK why you are trading Simmonds but IMO that is a bit of an underpayment for him. I mean if you trade him to Buffalo, he comes with a winning mentality and could be the key that makes these losers into winners.
So I gave you Five stars, when you find out what jassan28's comment meant please tell me as well.

I love Simmonds but I think it's time to move on. He'll be 30 years old playing for a new contract next season and he's likely to be able to demand a significant pay rise and significant years. It's pretty clear he's playing hurt so even following this poor year I think he'll bounce back. However, he's never been good 5v5, he's just ok there and probably 3rd line is where he should be, maybe 2nd line depending on a teams dynamics. Where he shines is on the powerplay but Patrick has come in and looks good in his spot. Basically I think he's replaceable and worth a decent return. Probably a 1st and a decent prospect so maybe I devalued him a little here but not by much for a pending UFA.

I did not check his contract, but you are giving me more reason to trade for him. He will excel in his contract year, he is extremely talented and seems to be a team player. At TDL I will get back and more what you are currently asking for him.

Sure but the Flyers should be in contention for a playoff spot at deadline and you don't wanna move out a solid piece at that point. It's pretty much this offseason or deadline if we're well out of the race. Or he leaves on a free but Hextall likes to get something for his assets so I don't see that happening.
