If that is the price for Bob, Jarmo let’s him walk. Jarmo, with his depth in goaltending, will not pay Bob, who is on the wrong side of 30, a 8 year contract at that cap hit.

Yeah, I goofed on the term for Bob; I was going to have it shorter than that. I was paying much closer attention to cap hits and about two or three years out.

I don’t think Bob will be extended. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at least dangled at the draft. Could be wrong but I just can’t see Jarmo keeping him with our depth at goaltending

The depth isn't there. Korpisalo isn't starter-level yet, and as much as I love Merzlikins he hasn't proven anything in North America yet. And Tarasov is years away. And Kivleneiks - rather counter to my predictions, I'm afraid - has been awful.

Yeah, but I predict Korpisalo will get some more consistent starts next year to see if he can handle the job.

Now we're to vague prediction on top of vague prediction on top of vague prediction ("Korpisalo will get starts next year" -> "Korpisalo can become the starter" -> "Bobrovsky will not be extended"). It's reasonable to consider that in one's plans as a possibility, but not reasonable to assume it's likely and therefore going to happen.
