5 more years of Andrew Ladd... I don't know about that... 32 yrs old, 2 dissapointing seasons, and we want to put him on LW with Pleks? Seems like a recipe for disaster...

If you look at Subban and Galchenyuk, Bergevin never gives more then 2 years for a second contract to his top raising stars. He had a tough time with PK and Galchenyuk but at the end he extends their long term contract with 2 years at a bargain price. Many teams do that.

Money in my line up is important and the defence needed to get better. So Alzner gone and Ladd in a bottom 6 is better to the team. Otherwise Alzner becomes a 4.6M$ sitting duck as a 7th Def.

Looks like a competitive line up. I would have to say the big risk in your approach is giving up the assets in 2020. That draft class is looking primed to be stacked with great prospects. I would reconsidered giving up those assets.

I doubt Florida gives up Borgstrom for MaxPac straight up, let alone with them adding any picks, let alone throwing in a 1st. They're really high on him, after all - and just because they've got Barkov and Trocheck doesn't mean they're obligated to throw away another C for less than market value.
