bad pick

I wouldn't go that far but if I were Arizona I'd be getting a RHD with that pick. That is their biggest weakness.

im just not sold on tkachuk, think hes more of a 8,9,10 pick than a 3,4,5

With no guarantees that Oliver Ekman-Larsson resigns with Arizona, I think Chayka is better off going with D like Boqvist, Bouchard/Dobson or possibly Hughes then going with Tkachuk.

Fair enough but just think about that for second. Someone said that same thing about Brock Boeser, Matt Barzal and Charlie McCavoy neutral...... The draft is a crap shoot sometimes. It never works out perfectly.

If you don't want a top five guy, trade down for more picks and prospects. I'd bet either ny team bites.

Oh I know, well aware of how hit or miss it is, there’s also some teams that made some terrible decisions during those drafts. Like the Bruins taking Sensyshn before Barzal three me for a loop, especially since he was a borderline 1st rounder and I personally wasn’t a fan. it regardless all the tape I’ve watched I just can’t see Tkachuk panning our like people think he will, I think offensively he’s going to be worse than Matt but more of a physical/two way guy. I feel like people are just expecting him to be this crazy scorer the second he hits the league

Man, I don't know who you are talking to but almost everyone I know says he's not as talented as his brother but his bigger and more power winger'ish. He's nto being considered in the #2 and #3 for a reason. He is however a specialty player. One with a skill set that no one else in the first 15 have. All depends on what you think is more important for your team. That's what GMs sometimes look at.

I wouldn't take him at 1-5 but after that after that it really is based on what you need in a player.
