Initial Creation Date: May 2, 2018

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tanev for two years until liljegren is ready for nhl, then the rest is just realistically what needs to happen barring a one year deal with a guy like thornton

--side note you can switch marner and brown but i like the mar-kad-mar line and brown had 20 goals once so he can probably do some damage next to matthews

That third line could be pretty sick.
Definitely swap Brown and Marner if we don't want to see Auston sad all the time.
I like the Tanev idea if he wasn't so injury prone...I think Toronto inquired about him before deadline. Would be tough giving up a first for a 60 game player. And Vancouver would want big return for him so first is minimum.

Leafs need Grundstrom to play LW with the departures of JVR and Komarov. He's been very good in playoffs with the Marlies. Really they don't have many players like him and to give up for a really a part time two year rental along with a top pick seems excess to me. Would any other team in the league offer so much?
So if the 2019 is lottery protected, and the Oilers make the playoffs, when do the Leafs get the pick?

Maybe grundstrom is a bit much but i didnt want to upset vancouver fans, and whatever pick the leafs end up getting goes to vancouver in this scenario, (pick would slide to next year if edmonton wins lottery otherwise it is the 2019 pick)

Also engvall and timashov still coming up the left if grundstrom does need to be involved in a trade (engvall is making a strong case for an elc)
