I would trade it for someone like Draisaitl (as in a young legitimate top end Center), or Pierre-Luc Dubois. I'd have no problem throwing in other pieces in the deal if necessary (Pacioretty, some 2nd rd picks, etc). But I wouldn't trade it for a top Center in or approaching their 30s (the O'Reilly's and Backstrom's), not because they aren't worth it, but the discrepancy in age age is far too great. giving up an 18 year old who has star potential for a 30 year old just doesn't make sense considering the Habs absolutely need to start stocking the shelves with their prospects.

and if MTL can't get what they want. just keep it. MTL is still desperate for offense. and someone like Svechnikov or Zadina definitely fits that need.
