i don't think the cap is going to 82 mil but if it does i could see this happening(I say that as a bias leafs fan)

I know it is rising to somewhere between 78 and 82 million this offseason, but most seem to think it is going all the way to 82 with the money that just came into the league from vegas. The rules of Horton's day day roster spot and the performance bonuses make the UFA signing about 10m.

they supposebly had interest in martin at the deadline and were interested in getting him back and the leafs don't want him

which UFA signing? and also the bonuses will also fit under the LTIR better without Lupul on it

Gee, Carlson and Tavares are UFAs. And why even talk about Lupul he's off the roster. It's Horton, and necessity of having him on paper on the roster for game one. No, cap wise this doesn't work and especially when considered PF are carried into 2019/20.
