Has Marleau's MNC have no meaning. In his last NHL season and a chance for a Cup it isn't waiving for Arizona or retiring.

Hey Toronto fans please stop trading Martin back to the Islanders and Marleau is not accepting a trade to Arizona and if he retires in the last year you get hit with a 2 million cap recapture penalty.

This^ As much as we loved Matt Martin theres absolutely no spot for Martin on this team with his cap hit, the only possibly way they would think about bringing him back is if his contract is retained half
