Description
Just playing around, checking some options

Need to replace Hossa? How about with his countryman Jagr at least for 35 games in order to have most games played title.

The signing of both Hutton and Hammond is for extra coverage on the off chance Crawford is LTIR at the start of the season (one hopes not) This team is not dependent on this fact, there is still enough cap space if he is able to play at the beginning of the season and if he does go down mid season the net is well protected.
The signings of Van Riemsdyk, Perron, and Hickey are pretty reasonable., The numbers may be a bit off but I do not think by much.
Added a couple of the prior draft picks Carlsson and Jokiharju on defense and have them start in the minors.
The 19-20 season will give Chicago a lot of good options with veteran talent that could be resigned as well as young players to fight for roster spots. Panarin well he will probably want a raise so set a side at least an extra 3 mil for that but I think he is worth it (hated the Saad trade in the first place)

Seabrook, what to say, I love him but not his contract. He is awesome in the dressing room and still pretty good on the ice, though slipping a bit. I feel one of the only places he might waive his NTC for is Vancouver, that being said Im sure there would be something agreed to about retirement back in Chicago. The trade I believe is is pretty close, an upgrade for Chi in the first round, but Van still getting a pick in the 1st. A swap of 2nd rounders just cause, a young forward and a D prospect for a mid level D-man.

The other set of trades is something I have been playing around with. How to get Panarin back and Strome to center for DeBrincat. The DeBrincat & Strome line is from the Erie Otters, they played so well together I think this line will work great especially with Sikura on the right. Total youth movement for the 3rd line. I think the final line up has a lot of depth with mid level defensive minded players that can turn it around and put up higher than average points consistently. Something the Hawks have been lacking.

Well this is my take on what the team could look like. If you compare with prior years they won the cup its not that much different looking, just different names. Yes I could have went with major signings like Carlson or Tavares but why? Big contracts to make a couple lines very heavy and hurt the team in the long run I feel. Other players that may be of interest to the team could be Adam Henrique or William Karlsson if they could be pried away from their teams though I doubt it.

If you were to change Anisimov to Hinostroza or another younger player I’d take that trade but onther wise we don’t have the cap to take back Anisimov. Sorry. Also you’ll probably need more for Panarin. Sorry.

Oddly enough did you see what CBJ's offer to Chi was at the deadline? it was Anisimov for a second round pick and someone I believe (trying to remember it was a couple months ago) Hawks turned it down obviously as it wasnt enough. I feel the trade is fair for CBJ, the 2018 5th overall pick, 2019 Second round, Anisimov, and Crouse for the 2018 #18 pick, 2019 3rd, Panarin and Milano, where Milano and the pick also move to Ari as it is a 3 way deal. Plus with Panarin moved you have the Cap space for Anisimov and more.

Frankly, I have zero interest in trading Panarin unless we're getting a replacement game-breaking scorer - and I don't see that happening immediately with the #5 overall.
