Let the "trade Letang and Murray" scenarios begin!

Description
I REALLY like Letang but he's had such a terrible season and especially in the post season. Too many mistakes in my book. Maybe he recovers but if you can maybe get a top 6 winger for him then I believe that makes the team better as depth scoring was clearly an issue this post season. And I think Letang would waive his NTC to go to MTL. If Brassard doesn't work out next year the Pens can move Gally to 3rd line center. Then you go after the other Carlson (that is a actually a free agent) and sign him. Unless the Caps move allot of money not sure they can hang on to him for next year. The other trades are clearly cap dumps that I think are reasonable for all sides. Trading Murray makes NO sense. He may not have been spectacular, but he's still young and an elite goaltender. i just know there will be allot of teams posted here that are going to trade him cuz he's not the second coming of Jesus in net.

Should trade Murray to Vegas for Fleury. laugh

If I were a Pens fan I would legit be worried about Murray though. He was exposed in the WSH series. Anything over 13" off the ice on the glove hand could go in! It will be interesting to see if that trend continues next year.

still wouldn't take this as it leaves the Pens with no quality goaltender. Jarry and DeSmith are ok but both showed that they can't carry the team yet.

agreed to the Murray statement. And I know allot of people are gonna do the Murray for Fleury trade which makes no sense to me. Fleury is playing great cuz he has a solid defense in front of him. Something the Pens don't have.

The whole defense was bad. Sabres also dont want your garbage, you have to actually pay them to take a cap dump

I think Galchenyuk for Letang and a second is a big overpay for Galchenyuk.

the way Letang played this year it may be hard to move him. If it takes less like not having to retain salary or giving the pick, I'll take it!

They both put up 51 points this season. RHD is a much more valuable position than a winger. I get the longer term cap concerns but that's what you trade when you are getting back a lesser player.

I don't think Murray was really the problem. They finally got beat by Washington it had to happen sooner or late. If Carlsson would sign yeah move letang but that's a big if. Tristan jarry could get some interest and add shear y to him and maybe get a pretty good dman back in return.

This team hasn't lost a series until now in over 3 years. I don't think they need to change a god damn thing. Even though Caps won in 6, that series could of gone either way. Then who knows what would of happened.

Drastic changes are for the bad teams. Pittsburgh is far from a bad team. They just lost this time. It happens. Small changes and tweaks needed only. I'm sure a nice long summer will probably do good for the team.

That Montreal trade would potentially go down as the worst trade in Penguin history.
