I agree with all of this except Hanifin getting 5 mil. Hanifin is bridging himself because he knows he is a better player than he has shown his first 3 years, he has taken many steps forward every season, in points total, goals, assists, etc. by about game 300 which will be this upcoming season, we'll start to see what Hanifin is really made of and what he might become. I think a 2 year, 5 mil deal with an AAV of 2.5 is a perfect value for him, not too high, not too low, he will be an RFA when it's up, Canes can decide to commit long term, move him, or do whatever they want. everything else, trading Necas Bean Staal & Darling, if i added or missed anyone into that trade, let me know, is a massive massive fleece for NYI in giving up Tavares & Ho-Sang. Berglund is also probably worse than Rask. If I could re-adjust this, I'd just offer the contract to Tavares of 7 years 13.5 mil, trade Rask and another decent piece+pick for Ho-Sang, and draft Zadina. If Tavares signs, lines would look like: Aho-Tavares-Teravinen, Ho-Sang-Necas-Zadina, Zykov-Staal-Lindholm, Foegele-Martinook-McGinn. Back end would likely be without Faulk so now it's Slavin-Pesce, Hanifin-TVR, Fleury-McKeowan, Bean 7th d-man, possibly Dahlbeck back on league minimum to be an 8th d-man.
