Yes, this makes sense if you're a Habs fan. Leafs only have two NHL centres and you suggest one is traded. Kadri for Hamilton is questionable for the Leafs and you want to trade two first rounders also?
Hamilton gets a lot of his points of the PP. Certainly the Leafs don't need him on their PP. Now is Hamilton is above average defensive Dman? If he isn't he really doesn't have any attraction for the Leafs.

I generally don’t like the “I’m going to give up quantity for quality” bc often it is unrealistic but Calgary would be foolish to not take this.

Must be the first time a 30 goal scoring shut down center has been called quantity lol.
