Something I less want to trade ROR, if we do not sign a conditional Thornton. I have no confidence that Casey will pull the top 6 next season.

I do not understand, where is Casey and you want Thornton?
O'Reilly was brought in because we were sold that he had character and was a leader. The notion that he was a man of character was trashed when he attempted to drive through a Tim Horton's then ran away. Then his leadership was totally dashed when he said he lost his love of the game. Leaders fight to the end and never give up, he is obviously a loser and gave up. Finally, we are told he is a "great" 2 way player. Show me another great 2 way player who only had one penalty all year. This in my opinion is an example of how he is only concerned about his stats and is not a TEAM player.

I will not even fully paint what ROR is a useful player. He is gorgeous on throw-ins, he gains points, Reinhart together with him in a link simply blossomed, he does not leave, not because to care for statistics, and because he so plays, he plays in the majority and minority. He is love Buffalo, he likes it here.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
So what is Casey? And you want Joe Thornton?
Actually, I am presuming by throw-ins you mean shooting the puck into the offensive zone (dump-in). He is the "ONLY" forward who does that as a routine, and when he does, the defending team will skate the puck out nearly every time. It is just one more reason why I want him out, he wins face offs (a personal stat) then loses the pucks on his dump ins. I noticed this last year not just this year. He is loser, concerned with his own stats and does not have a strong character. His remarks were obviously calculated, NO ONE would ever admit to losing the love of the game, if he did then find another profession. When I lost my love of my job, I changed careers. I am sorry we have this different opinion on this matter because you have posted some very good teams.

Casey this Casey Mittelstadt as the center of the second link, I'm not sure he'll pull next season. Thornton, I mean, if we're trading ROR and then we need a good center for at least one season while Casey's on the third line.

I also did not like that ROR has lost the love of the game in a while, but a man are different characters, I can't say he played badly or didn't put in the game. In the end, my opinion is: I would trade ROR for a good offer, but we must then sign a center in the second link at least for one season.

Thank you for taking the time to explain your position. I was confused because this is a Carolina team and you were commenting as this was a Sabres team. I was hoping to get some comments from Carolina and Winnipeg fans.

Id bet money Mittelstadt gets more points than Thornton next season and he is definitely not leaving San Jose especially to go to BUF lol
