I expect Willy to get 6 million give or take
I would love to get Carlson even at that contract.
I would love jumbo Joe for a year
We can’t sign JVR, we can’t afford it. Whoever signs JVR for 6-7 million will probably rue the day when they realize he can’t do anything but score... I loved JVR at 4.25, I would like JVR at 5-5.5, I would hate JVR at 7.

No but they're in a rebuild and can take Martin for a couple years. Especially if it means they're getting a quality young player as well, and helps them hit the floor.

I don't know if paying the most for a UFA, "wins the sweepstakes". Maybe you're the loser in the deal. JVR returns to Leafs....no thanks. Bracco isn't even starting every playoff game for the Marlies, he certainly isn't a Leafs next year. The cap really doesn't work if you want to have no performance bonus carryover in 2019/20 when the Leafs have expensive signings.

Theyre well above the floor and are not trying to be in a rebuild theyre trying to be a wild card next year. Theyve done some little things since march that have made some big differences. They have no use for Martin. I would trade them a 5th for leivo straight up
