No thank you. Two good prospects for one good prospect doesn't make sense to me.

The other point is, you have a need on RW and your D is in pretty good shape....on paper. And you still got Fox and Kylington in the pipeline

Team that gets the best player in the trade wins the trade. Zadina or Svechnikov are far better then Andersson and Valimaki. Habs keep what could be a top scorer in five years.

Columbus. They got their top pairing defenceman who broke out this season for a overrated #1 center who makes $8 million a year.

So you wouldn't take Radulov cause he's a lefty RW?

They didn’t get there because of Johansen though, he was injured the majority of the playoffs last year and they got there.

Columbus will have their time competing for the finals soon enough. Them and New Jersey are the youngest teams in the Metro and will be catching up to The caps and Penguins in the next couple years.

Johansen got injured in game 4 of the conference final. I could argue that if he was healthy NSH would win the cup

I would, it's just that Calgary has absolute **** right handed depth right now, so I would only really use those assets to get a righty. The value is fair though.

You add him to that line up ya they have a shot, I’m not saying he is a bad player. Seth Jones is just the better play in that trade in my opinion, it was a good hockey trade addressing both teams needs but Seth has done nothing but get better since stepping into that #1 role, while Johansen struggled this year. It will be a trade that we won’t mow the winner of for a few years but right now I like that move by Columbus.

My philosophy is different. The team that wins the trade is the team has immidiately improved, than the other team in the standings. I don't put emphasis on who got the better player. Like you said, it's adressing certain needs.

At first I thought Chiarelli botched the Hall/Larsson trade. But he proved me wrong with the season they had last year. IMO the big reason they regressed this year is the absence of Eberle. I understand that it was a cap move, but I believe they could of snuk in the playoffs if Eberle was there.

The deal I made with CGY above had nothing to do with adressing a Habs' need, it had to do more with trying to see what it would take for CGY to give up something that they could afford to part with, in order to obtain a player that could help them get over a certain hump.
