Just over here to say Franson is way overpaid. You could get him for a million or less.

That's a really, really rough trade for Edmonton. Honka is still a huge question mark on the blueline and Ritchie looks like a 4th liner. Klefbom has legitimate top-2 potential and would easily feature on Dallas' 1st pairing. I'm not touching that deal without the 2018 1st coming back.

Yeah I really had no idea on him. I couldn't find any teams where anyone signed him, so I just threw out a number! haha

Juulsen = RHD - Petry = RHD, not sure how that would work

Edmonton would be silly to accept this trade. Klefbom is their best defenceman when healthy and is locked up to an amazing deal.
While Honka and Ritchie could turn into great NHL players Edmonton doesnt need to sell off their best asset for magic beans...

You can have Kris Russell back......

Galchenyuk could get a much better return. That’s not enough value for MTL to accept that trade.

Yeah the trade needs some tweaking. At first I swapped pick 13 and 40 w/ the d-men, but that scared me a bit. I had just read an article talking about how EDM is looking for RH puck moving d-man and while Honka isn't the most desirable target, he still fits the bill. The article said Klefbom could be the piece used so that's where the idea came from. I thought with this case, they could get their RHD and not use 10th overall to acquire one. It was just a thought!

What would you want in a return for Galchenyuk?

From Dallas? I’d take Faksa and their 13th overall

I like Klefbom and I love the potential, but he also comes with injury concerns. It seems like a dominant shutdown center who is still developing offensivley, and 13 overall seems like a lot. What would they need besides Honka? It just seems like he fits more of a need.
