That's a solid offer for Simmonds, who is a UFA in a year. I'd accept...maybe squeeze Dallas to eat more of Spezza's deal.

How is that a solid offer? There is nothing of value to the Flyers there.

I suppose it depends on what you think of Ritchie...I think he can be a lot better than he was last year.
Was a pretty good in the AHL and in Jr's.

Flyers already have too many bottom 6 roster players.

So you are saying that we think differently about what type of player Ritchie can be....wish i'd thought of that.

Ya since he is 24 and has yet to top 25 points in a season...

The big draw of this deal for Philly would be Honka. However, that being said, Philly doesn't really need another young defenseman. Between Provorov, Sanheim, Gostisbehere, Hagg, etc. they really have no need for Honka. Instead of that trade, how about this instead:

Dallas Stars

Michael Neuvirth
Wayne Simmonds
4th Round Pick

Philadelphia Flyers

Jason Spezza ($3.75M retained)
Jason Dickinson
Brett Ritchie
2nd Round Pick

Philly gets a good, young center in Dickinson, the Stars eat 50% of Spezza's contract, and Philly gets a top-50 pick.

I approve this. I like this suggestion.

Frost, Rubstov, Vecchionne, Vorobyov, Laberge

That is the list of Cs the Flyers have for 1 remaining spot.

I really only see Philadelphia moving Wayne Simmonds to Dallas if they include their 13th overall pick + Radek Faska + Julius Honka. That is most likely too much for Dallas to commit to Simmonds, understandably.

I think there is no correct market value for Simmonds. Philadelphia doesn't have a strong enough incentive to move SImmonds for a return that is below market price and their internal market price.
