Edmonton fan here I like the idea but we already have so many lhd does Martinez play on the right side?

Yes. I tink he spent most of his time on the right side 2nd pair after LA aquired Phanuef.

I'd do this trade if we can unload sekera or Russell simply because wed then have like what 5 d man making more then 4 mill haha

I would wait to see who’s available at 10 OA. If there isn’t one of the top RHD left then I would really consider the deal.

Ha yeah I know LA wanted to keep Sekera but that contract is too much if they want to sign Doughty.

Martinez has played right side for pretty much the past 2 years. RNH, #10 overall pick and a 3rd, plus we get some cap flexibility. Done Deal!

I like the creativity although Martinez plays a huge role for the kings, more so than people realize.
Our D could be solid if the coach staff didn't have their heads up their asses. We need to get rid of guys like Forbort and Gravel. Our D Lineup would be good if it looked like this..

Phaneuf- LaDue

We still haven't recovered from the loss of Voynov.. so getting rid of Martinez is making us weaker than we already are. We also lack veterans as it is. But the Phaneuf trade was good, Phaneuf will do good with us. Less pressure. Less media

There's also no gaurentee guys like Clague and Brickley will be NHL ready next season
