Description
Sabres switch to royal blue jerseys as they begin a new chapter in the franchise.

Eichel “C” - switches to #9
Okposo “A”
Ristolainen “A”

As Bob McKenzie stated on his podcast, ROR is due a 6.5 mil signing bonus on July 1st which CAR doesn't want to pay so this trade happens on July 2nd. CAR essentially gets ROR for 1 mil his first year with the team.

Amerks would be pretty solid too with Nylander, Olofsson, Smith, Oglevie, Malone and Borgen.

skinner isnt going to get 7m$ knock about 1.5m$ off. other then that not bad, as team is faster with more scoring punch.

what?! so youre saying u think Guhle> Skinner?!?? I did trade ROR for Skinner+other peices . we have luxury of trading ROR because of our depth at C so we trade him for a top goal scoring LW that can play with Eichel
or Mittelstadt. Sabres literally have no proven LW right now on roster and with the addition of Dahlin we now have a crowded back end

guhle reminds me of brent burns and he makes under 700k for 2 more years and then is an rfa.

So the Sabres are getting and elite LW (yes 89 goals in the last 3 years is an elite performance). a 1st over all LHD defenseman, who is about to have a huge break out year, a very good 3rd line center who wins nearly 60% of his face offs for O'Reilly, Lehner, Guhle and Girgensons?
O'Reilly = Skinner + Rask
Hanifin > Guhle + Lehner + Girgensons.

I just think someone would not make this trade. O'Reilly is extra with Eichel, Mittelstadt, Rodrigues, Rask and Larsson. the Sabres do not have any NHL caliber LW, Skinner will score more than Kane. Ullmark will be the top GK next year. Buffalo is filling 3 holes and giving up essentially only surplus.
I think a pick could be added, a second would be about correct.

thing is we get a lot of nice peices while Caroline gets the best player in the deal who is a #1 C and also a younger, cheaper starting G in Lehner. CAR isnt going to resign Skinner so why not get this back for him
