Leafs should consider the move on Tanev, but I don't understand Vancouver moving on Spezza. From everything I have heard, team clearly looking to get younger, and retool, let alone rebuild. Not sure Spezza fits scenario.

I think Spezza deal is okay. Pick up a 3rd, and while Spezza had a bad year, he could be a good 1 year veteran center for the other young guys. Plus, if he bounces back, especially retaining 50% of 5.5 mil, he could be a good TDL piece and could net another pick.
