Backing yourself into a corner by overpaying Reinhart and Wilson. The Sabres cant afford to give Tavares McDavid money. I want it to happen and Botts is a cap genius but i think Tavares will just use the Sabres to inflate his value

I agree, I was just playing around based on the 3 past rumors that were out there. I actually doubt any of those deals happen.

So what is your estimate of JT's next contract...... I have read:

1. No team will pay him McDavid money so they end up at $10,000,000
2. There will be teams that are willing to give him 7 years at $12,000,000
3. There will be a team that is in such a desire to sign him they will offer stupid money over $12,000,000

Sabres can afford 11 or 11.5. He will come to the Sabres he immediately gets 11 as his baseline. From there it depends who is a legitimate contender and what they are willing to pay. I can see someone giving him 12.5 but thats going to kill that team over the next 3-4 years so they better have a plethora of elcs.

Awful trade with Carolina seeing as both Skinner (injury prone) and Faulk (offensive dman) are in their last/2nd last year of their contracts

Five stars for Trading O'Reilly
IMO more than a fair value of Skinner and Rask for O'Reilly, of course there is the risk of Skinner leaving but he is an elite LW and it would help the team to shed this losing attitude.
If you could get Reinhart locked up for 6 years for $6,000,000 that is really good.
I think there are many Oiler contributors who think Buffalo would have to add to get Klefbom, I sort of doubt that Chiarelli would give up the 10th over in this trade
Beaulieu for Hagelin is about correct, I sort of doubt that that all of Smith, O'Regan, Bailey, Baptiste and Wilson are all better NHL players than Larsson
That is a huge payment to get rid of Bogosian's salary, again you are essentially committing to Pilut, Nelson and McCabe to all be better than Bogosian next year, I sort of doubt that will be the case.
