Nilsson is a UFA, so you're selling one year of Sam Gagner for a second. Likely? No.

Tampa could use a RHD, so that trade might work.

My apologies. Seems Capfriendly just advanced the grid in the last week or so. I just saw the one column left and assumed it was 2017-18.

Given that, it's a fair trade.

TBL has Stralman/Girardi/Dotchin as RHD. Would they take Tanev then try to trade one of the other veterans (who each have only 1 yr left on their deals)?

Some of these ideas are somewhat interesting.

SIGNINGS: To be honest, it’s best not to sign any UFAs as all they do is take a spot away from a youngster who may actually have an impact to the team in the future. However, since they aren’t too FAs and this is armchair, I’ll let it pass. Baertschi and Stecher have been underpaid.

TRADES: The Tanev trade is definitely interesting, especially if they know Stralman will walk after next season. If not, I’m not sure about the fit, however value wise the trade is really good for both sides. The MDZ trade is fine. As for the Buffalo deal, that’s the only one that makes no sense. They don’t really need to give up a 2nd for a 3rd liner + a backup goalie with an underwhelming season. I don’t think they’d want Nilsson at all again, although they could have a spot for Gagner if he’s available for cheap.

LINES: Awesome job there with the forwards. Defesivley, Stecher and Gudbranson need to be switched. Pouliot should also be playing over Hutton.

He has already played for Buffalo. I feel like they wouldn't go back.
