real cap, as the indicated from "Banks"

Created by: palhal
Team: 2018-19 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: May 20, 2018
Published: May 20, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I've signed Nylander to a bridge which IMO is what he wants.
With the bonuses included for last year and this year. Leafs have 10m to spend on opening day roster. How to spend that money wisely, is the question, and it's probably just short term with some expensive RFA expected in 2018/19

That contract is a win for Nylander, why not just lock him up for the classic $6M x 6 years. I'm sure Nylander wouldn't say no to that. If you are gonna bridge him the cap hit should be much lower.

Why do fans think that it the just the teams choice to look up a player long term? Trouba didn't want it IMO, Nylander is different type of guy who would prefer a shorter team. You may be correct that the bridge could lower.

I agree nylander might want a bridge (you know I'm a habs fans and galchenyuk obviously wanted a bridge and got it) but if I'm Toronto I dont give him $5.2M for 2 years, probably $4M for 2 years or $6M for 6, balls in Nylanders court he can take what he wants.
