Overpaying for Stastny seems like a poor plan. Habs fans over value the 24 year old minor league goalie Lindgren.

The ARI and CHI trades ar really bad for the teams not named Montreal.

The goalie prospect-forward prospect swap is interesting tho, but you´d probably have to add something to get Gauthier. There´s a reason why Montreal chose to re-sign Niemi and not letting Lindgren take over the back-up position.

There's also a reason why Niemi got only a 1 year extension and Lindgren got a 3 yr extension. Niemi played better than Price also this past season, does it mean he's you choose him over Price as your #1 goalie? Gaulthiers value has dropped after the poor season he had, and also the acquisition of Svechnikov or Zadina has just pushed Gaulthier down the RW depth.

I don't think any of those teams make any of those trades. Believe me i would for them to though but they favor MTL heavily in each case.
