Duclair is in the trade with Chicago and swap the RFA rights of Mrazek and Lehner since neither team seems to want to re-sign them. Carolina takes that trade to add an 80 point guy, a goalie they can use next year (albeit injury prone) and a stud goalie prospect as well as two first round picks this year.

I don't think we want Hossa's cap hit for the next 3 years, better off getting a usefull player for that price. Now onto the CAR trade. Voracek>>>Skinner. Just because we have Hart doesn't mean we should empty our system of goalies. Sandstrom could very well be an NHL starter as well so giving him up just makes no sense. So basically you are giving up #8, #14, Sandstrom and Neuvirth for #2 which might be the right price but with the value difference in Voracek over Skinner, not worth it at all. Plus I don't see CAR moving down to where it is mostly D available unless Wahlstrom slides to 8.
