Description
First attempt, all of this is hypothetical so don’t h8.
Idk how good/bad that Tanev trade is so it could be different. If JVR comes back on a 1 year deal Leivo gets sent back down. Next/this year (18-19) if we go on a run Jvr and hainsey walks so we can just barely sign the remaining 2 of the big 3 (Nylander contract could be higher/lower or he could be traded) If we suck we trade Jvr and hainsey to a contender hopefully. Idk if the Martin trade would happen without retaining salary but I’m dreaming. Not sure who they could put on the 3rd pairing, Carrick, ozhiganov or liljegren (future d might be tanev, liljegren, ozhiganov/whoever so maybe Carrick gets dealt/sent down?)

Why does everyone love a player that struggles to play 60 games? We just finally lost one. His name was Joffrey.

My thoughts exactly.
I'll also add that Zaitsev was money the first 10 games of the year and got concussed then came back and then before he could catch up to the NHL pace he got some illness where he lost like 15lbs and by the time he came back from that there was no catching up... Lets see what we have next year before trading him. After the rookie season he had he deserves another look.

I have no interest in that Tanev deal. At this point, you are selling low on Zaitsev, so unless you are trading for, say, an Adam Larsson, who also had a down year and might appreciate an equal change of scenary, I would take my licks in hopes that Zaitsev improves his overall value next season. I'd also like to see both Nielsen and Bracco continue improving with the Marlies. Both Connor Brown and Kasperi Kapanen have tremendous value and both block Bracco at RW. So, it could, down the line, make some sense to maximize trade value by dealing either a Brown and Kapanen and opening up a sport for Bracco. Trading Bracco, as is, does not really do much and I see no dire need to move him now, he had a solid AHL rookie season.

Like that you got rid of Matt Martin but can't see the Coyotes being the ones to pay the actual dollars left on his contract regardless of the cap hit.
