A man can dream can't he? Besides I don't think it's actually a bad trade for a team that needs to compete now. Chicago's window is closing; they don't have the luxury of standing pat. They need team speed and AA is the fastest guy in the league (please don't say Connor Mcdavid like every fawning Canadian fan boy) and has a lot of unrealized potential. Dekeyser gives them an actual second pairing lefty at a really low cost and the second round pick is only 9 spots back of the Nashville first rounder. My guess is you didn't actually notice that part.

The Hawks window is should be considered closed right now. What would you say to Dekeyser+Athanasiou for Towes?

move some of those picks your getting to the following year, i don't want 6 picks in the first 2 rounds. spread them to next year and have them to either use or move in deals

Only if we can move Toews somewhere else for picks this year.

This is an really deep draft and I would like Emperor Nero to have as many kicks at the can as possible.

Hell must be froze over..I actually agree with stompers..I hear & think wings would be rather trying to collect top picks for the 2019 jack Hughes draft ..they're set for this one ..if they want more picks this draft..they have the ammo to do so now..by trading down ..or using combo picks to move up etc..the 2019 draft is what they want more chances in ..especially lottery tries for jack Hughes... Now I do agree Chicago must be creative ..but they're not rebuilding.. They're still trying to win..they see it as fluke year with Crawford injury etc..so if they can get AA speed/skill even dekeyser on 2/3 pair on wings retaining some $...they'd be #ALLIN for that ; ) if u get the reference.. Just shocked stompers could make me agree..& be enlightened on a wings issue.. Props to stompers

Hughes is a pipe dream...I'd love to have him but this years draft is ridiculously deep in potential star defenseman (which the wings desperately need). Because of that fact, most of the talented centers in this draft have been pushed into the late first early second round. Trust me; there will be value in the second round at the center position. Also, and maybe most importantly, I don't trust Tyler Wright and Ken Holland to make the right draft picks so I would like to give them more chances not to F it up.

Your letting your hatred blind you...they have enough picks this year..to do WHATEVER they need to do..being move up or down in 1st 2 rounds of draft..they want more picks in 2019 ..jack Hughes is NOT a pipe dream..depends on wings record & If they can acquire 1st rd pick(s) from other clubs that miss playoffs.. That's y u trade to teams on bubble trying to get in..so if they don't..u get more lottery ball chances in 2019 for Hughes outside of our own ..since we likely will be non playoff team again.. Just relax.. u may not like it or see it through the "bad contracts" but the process is in motion & starting to work.. Collecting assets is the goal now ..the management doesn't JUST think about this draft..they think 2,3-5 years ahead..just chill

Thanks but I'm fine. Not sure where you found all the hatred and angst in my post but okay....And no they don't have enough picks to do what they want. Were you paying attention to last years awful draft? They had eleven picks and came home with a pile of steamy feces. I don't hate Ken Holland I just think he's incompetent and I have no confidence in his ability to rebuild this team. Nor do I think he deserves the chance. Also, no team is going to trade draft picks that are un-lottery protected unless they weren't paying attention to Calgary's stupid gaff this year.

Man, it would have been great if that pick had ended up in the top three. Still hate Calgary.
