He is a decent defensive winger sort of like Palat, and Sven was a early first rounder and still has high ceiling. Playing with defensive forward Horvat hasn’t done much points wise, however look at one of his OT goal and you see he has an elite shot

I think id throw in Lind and Virtanen, take out 7 and throw in a conditional second.

This doesn't make much sense for Vancouver, the player at 7 will be better than Hanifin. I don't see a trade between these two teams

If canucks want Hanifin that badly, CAR will make them give up 7.. Thats where they start

^This. The Canucks are going to suck the next couple years, so might as well retain the #7 and draft a solid Dman like Dobson instead of hemorrhaging even more assets for the future.

exactly!! Its better to draft and develop then try to take a shortcut by trying to speed up the process and hope that it may work out.

Then that's where it ends. I think Hanifin is a good player but I wouldn't be giving up a top 9 pick for him. If people look at what Dougie Hamilton got in return, that's where the value is. A mid first round pick and a low 2nd or two late 2nds. It's been rumored that Carolina wants established players not picks . Again I don't see a trade between these two teams.
