More like thanks but no thanks, trade is laughable at best.

Value is fair if you ask me. Borgstrom looks like he is panning out to be a top 1/2 centre especially potentially being complimented by Barkov and Trochek in the future. Matheson can log top 2 minutes. 2018 1st Pens have the opportunity to select guys like Kotkaniemi now and Scevoir provides great scoring depth

Hawryluk, Tippett, Bajkov and Ang all talented especially Tippett who is a natural goal scorer no reason to mortgage all that for a Kessel

The beauty is that they aren’t giving up any one of those players you mentioned. If you even throw kessel on the trochek line Florida automatically becomes much more offensive then they have ever been

Dallas isn't going to move one of their better puck possession defensemen, especially with their new head coach. Jim Montgomery values puck possession more than just about anything and Julius Honka was one of the few defensemen that actually excelled at that aspect of the game. He'll finally get the full-time action he should have seen last season. Dallas doesn't trade him for a guy that put up 30 points last season. Sheary is a good player, but really relies on having top-flight talent around him in order to put up good numbers. He's a 3rd liner in Dallas and that's not going to net the return to Dallas that's going to warrant them losing Honka and a 2nd round pick.

That’s my point why give up a top 2 center, top d-men, great penalty killer, and a 1st rounder when we can just add Tippett to Trocheck’s and get good production. Makes no sense, we want 7-10 yrs of success not 3-5 yrs.
