a good prospect otherwise ROR for 3rd overall straight up
BTW the only way i see BUF trading ROR is if we were to actually get Tavares so this trade would most likely take place after the draft and the beginning of FA

Buffalo doesn’t need to move ROR and teams that miss out on Tavares may be inclined to bid more. If Buffalo doesn’t get a haul they’re just going to keep him. That seems to be the plan anyway

MTL's chances to sign Tavares are slim...how are BUF's?!?
With what he said at the end season, not sure his future with BUF depends on Tavares...

Buffalo's chance to sign JT are probably pretty slim too.. the three things we have going for us are:
      1) Eichel, Mittelstadt, and now Dahlin.. a highly skilled young core, and also Okposo, JT best bud from NYI.
      2) Money is not an issue as far as the owner goes, he's proven time and time again he's willing to spend what it takes.
      3) John Tavares' Uncle also named John Tavares, is a Pro Lacrosse LEGEND that played his entire career in Buffalo and his number is already retired here by the Bandits.. so there is a strong family connection.. a lot of fans have mentioned what would it be like to have both of their names retired next to each other in the rafters..

The Sabres GM and Coach have mentioned that they understood what ROR meant when he made those comments and how hard he is on himself.. I doubt there is any reason the team has to question his loyalty or drive.. last year was a BAD year on everyone.
