Alex Nylander is not anywhere near a top six forward, and I don't really see the point of getting O'Reilly if he isn't going to be play Mark Stone. Like, that's why you would get him imo. don't think these moves really work for Ottawa.

Five stars for wanting O'Reilly.
I sort of think Botterill thinks Nylander will be a top six winger who will score more than Smith in just a couple of years. Since Smith is already 30, I think Botterill would want to hold onto him.
Now I have been accused of being a little biased in the past and I am trying very hard to be objective, but let's compare this trade with what DATM gave up to get O'Reilly
Smith >= Compher due to age and other factors it may actually be even but let's leave it this way.
Stome >= Zadorov, now I may be totally off on this one but Zadorov gets better every year and is a solid 2nd pairing defenseman now. Again this may be more like even but let's leave it this way
nothing <<<<<<< 32nd over all
nothing <=> Grigorenko I know he is in Russia now, I just wonder if he was pushed too hard and lost his confidence
I think the arrows favor Buffalo so Botterill will say no to this trade and that does not even include Nylander as part of the deal.
No deal!! neutral unsure

Well then this is perfect, I think the deal really is bad for Buffalo, so we completely agree, NO DEAL!!

That is a disgusting overpayment for William Nylander. Yuck. Take the 4th overall out of there and I'm still thinking about it.

I would love ROR but I don't think that could happen without giving up serious future pieces (which doesn't make sense for a rebuilding Sens team) or Duchene with extension in place (which I can't imagine him wanting to sign in Buffalo). That Said, A line like 'Player X- O'Reilly- Stone' would be so sick

Leafs want to contend so.. I know!! Lets trade our first line rwer for picks and prospects (you are also overpaying but tor still says no cause it makes no sense for where the team is at)
