With the cap going up you under paid Matthews by 2 million, Marner by 2 million and Kapanen by 3 million. Also your defense is not very good.

Not a Leafs fan by any stretch of the imagination, Flyers fan. Just messing around to see if Tavares to Leafs is possible (which I don't want it to be)

Also, what on earth has Matthews done to earn more than 10M? That'd make him T5th highest cap hit assuming Tavares signs for at least 10M. That's about right.

Marner and Nylander could get more. Even so, add in an extra mill for both, and it still works.

That Leafs defense isn't much worse than the Capitals or Vegas current defense...

Also could trade Kadri for a dman if need be.
