Thank you for taking the time to develop a post.
First of all thank you for recognizing that Larsson has value. Nearly all Buffalo CF GM's trade him for a 5th.
Larsson, J, 2019 2nd round pick (BUF) and 2018 4th round pick (BUF) for Staal would be very difficult for Botterill to pass up.
Let's make a deal!!! Heart Eyes

The TOR trade is the only one that makes sense for CAR. This team is not in the business of stockpiling picks anymore so the NJD trade doesn’t work. Maybe Zacha + 2019 2Rd for Skinner and Staal is woefully undervalued in this trade. I won’t comment much on the lines because I don’t think that’s the focus, but the are pretty far off.

Larsson is several years younger, less money, and still has time to develop. Staal has just about reached his peak, and will no more than 55 points in his career, unless he has good wing pairs. If this was Eric Staal, I'd say you are 100% right, but Jordan isn't as good as his brother. Not to mention Staal is being paid $6 million a year, which is a bit overpaid if you ask me.
