Would love to get Stone! but Hamilton is a #1 defenseman and getting better every year - there are not many 'realistic' players I would trade him for.
While I think Stone is in their long term plans - I think Ott would listen to any offer that included getting rid of Ryan.
How about Stone/Ryan for Brodie/Brouwer/Prospect(Dube/Kylington/Mangiapane)? Maybe also a late pick to seal it?
Sens get a #3 D-man that can play either side, a solid prospect, and a RW replacing Ryan's massive contract with a shorter less expensive contract.
That Ryan contract is BAD!

only way this trade would happen is if ryan isn't retained at all and even then frolik may have to be retained. or hamilton for stone 1 for 1.

I think Ottawa does well in that deal as-is.

Obviously dont want to lose Stone but if the end result is Hamilton + getting out of Ryan’s contract that’s not a bad spot to be in.
