Team: 2018-19 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: May 24, 2018
Published: May 31, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Pittsburgh Trade: Penguins save some cap space, get a guy who is young and still has upside in Beaulieu, along with a pick for an aging guy who they can replace in the lineup. Sabres get a fast, defensively savvy veteran forward who can play the style they’re looking for.

New Jersey Trade:
Devils get a 1C who can do the heavy lifting for a guy like Hischer, also lessening the defensive zone burden on Zajac. Zacha can move to the wing where his size can be imposed more effectively.

Sabres get a solid goalie prospect. A top-4 right handed defenseman in Severson, a top-6 center prospect and a solid but speedy left winger in Wood.

San Jose Trade: Sharks get a young defenseman who has top-4 ability. And a center/winger who can play up and down the lineup.
Sabres get a guy who can take over a bit of O’Reilly’s role as a d-zone/pk specialist centerman

Five stars for trading for O'Reilly.
I can see that trade. 2 good prospects, a good LW and a top 4 defenseman.
    Let's make a deal!!! grin
the other deals are fine as well, good job.

I am not sure why you would want to sign Miles Wood to a 6 year deal. I get that its cheap, but 6 years is too long. The maximum I'd sign him to is 4 years. And instead of giving you McLeod, I would give you Nathan Bastian, who has pretty much the same role as McLeod. Everything else is good.

Why do so many sabres fans keep trading for Hagelin or Sheary? They both suck. We have fast players that cant score that will be much cheaper(Bailey and Bastipse), call them up instead of sinking 4 million in cap space in Hagelin.

Hagelin has one year left. Beaulieu won’t even be playing much if he stays here with Scandella, Guhle, Dahlin & Pilut on the left side. Hagelin is a solid defensive player as well. He Tierney and Reinhart would be a good go-to line in the d-zone or to matchup against other teams better scoring lines
