trade explanation:

Pittsburgh try to free up some space in a Kessel trade.
Byron is no Kessel but he's a cheap Winger that scores 20 goal a year for the past 2 years playing anywhere in the 3 first lines. with his speed, i feel there's a fit for him in Pitts, if they can move Kessel and gain so cap room.

Montreal need to free some space on the wings, Hudon on the 4th doesnt make sens.

LA is in the mix for Pacioretty.
I retain 50% to maximise the return on him.
add 2018 2019 2020 2nd round pick, to compensate LA 1st rounder, and mostly because Vilardi will play for the Next 8 years in Montreal, and Pacioretty could play for only 1 year.
if he sign in LA, montreal gets back there 2019-2020 pick.
-let me know your opinion about this. is it not enough? too much?-

First round pick for Montreal would be Hughues. Highest ceiling in the draft after Dalhin and Svechnikov. After reading Bergevin interview in NHL.com, i'm expecting a little surprise.

First round pick acquisition by LA would be Wilde. But won't play NHL anyway.

Finally, no JT cause i dont believe he will sign in MTL.

I like the option of Vilardi from LAK, as a possible future #1-2 center for the Habs. Hughes at #3 instead of Zadina would be a bit of a risk, but Montreal really does need some puck-moving D-men more than they need wingers. Good ideas.

yeah for Hughes i know its not the conventional pick, but reading about him on twitter that describe him as an elite D make me believe he could finish a better player than Zadina.
also, in the past few draft, Montreal showed that they draft mostly C and D in the first 5 round. I believe they will continue in that path
