Give me a legitimate reason that he wouldn't.

He can sign with a better coach that he wants to play for and also sign with a cup contender and not a team that gets bounced in the first round. The only enticing player he would want to play with is Panarin, but he will be a free agent soon. Your turn

Lol typical Pens fan. Why wouldn't he want to sign with a coach that has won a cup and lets the star players play their game. And why wouldn't someone want to play on a line with Panarin and Atkinson? Or have arguably the best top D pair in the League? But nah, you're right, signs with Pitt because that's the only team in the League people would want to play for. tears of joy

I never once mentioned him signing with pittsburgh, but you have to resort to that comeback because you have nothing else to say. Funny how people will always bring up Pittsburgh in an argument when they aren't even apart of the topic. Also, your Tortorella argument is laughable. His last cup was how many years ago and he wasn't even coaching the Jackets lmao. And like I said, Panarin is an enticing player, but he is going to be a free agent if he doesn't sign an extension. JT cant play with Panarin if he's a free agent. And wow, the best D pair in the league??? Well when the Bob chokes in the playoffs every year, they better try and stack their defense.

Then where would he want to sign? Can't be Toronto because nobody likes Babcock, can't be the Isles cause they aren't good. According to your criteria, there's not really anywhere he should want to sign.

If he doesn't care about winning, then he will sign with a bottom of the league team for a lot of money. There are contending teams that can sign him if they trade away some people. But back to the actual topic, JT will 100% not sign with Columbus. Nobody star athlete voluntarily wants to play for an Ohio pro sports team lmao

Lol so it's just because its Columbus then, pretty obsessed over a team that is so clearly inferior to yours eh?

Just saying, when has a top NHL player ever signed with the Jackets?

In the past when they sucked, never. But they don't suck anymore, so why not? How is Columbus not a contender?

Because they lose in the first round every year they make playoffs. Bob chokes when it comes to the playoffs. There are a handful of teams that are better than the Jackets in the east.

So why wouldn't someone sign to try and push them past that first round? Because everyone wants to be Kevin Durant and jump straight to the best team in the league? Nah man, you don't have a clue

You get your panties in this much of a bunch over every hypothetical offseason move? Or just ones with Columbus?

lol yeah you're so right. I asked a simple question and you took so much offense to it. Oh well, hopefully the pens and jackets meet again in round 1 so the pens can bounce them again with ease

Well too bad I never said that, but you can twist my words its fine. What I actually said is that no star is voluntarily going to sign with that perennial choke team and coach known for complaining and players not liking him

To be honest I like the Vegas trade, I think Bellemare is a great addition to this team, I don’t understand the Minnesota trade Ennis sucked last year and Prosser is a 6th/7th defencemen, I’m sure we could get more from Jenner and Murray then just that..... also I think Reilly Nash is going to want more then that after having a pretty good year in Boston. On that note Torts has a bad rap around the league about being a very demanding coach who can be kinda mean to players in the locker room. That being said I’d love to see Tavares in a Jackets jersey, I don’t see it happening. Overall not too bad.

Of course I don’t expect JT to come to Columbus, this was just a scenario to make it work. Our friend from Pittsburgh didn’t quite grasp the hypothetical aspect. Minnesota trade was mostly to free up cap space while not losing depth. Would definitely like to see dubi’s contract moved
