I don't see how our team gets any better with this?

Also, everybody needs to stop signing Vanek, he does not play a speed game that fits in our system.

I think we also own the most expensive defense now.

Redmond will want more than the 650K because of the year he had in the AHL.

        Thank you for your comments.
I guess having 3 good LW is not an improvement over last year when we had none,
The Center position is solid down to the fourth line.
RW is younger and about the same as last year. So I think it is a hard point to prove that the forwards on this team are not better than last year.

Gosh which of Buffalo's LW scored more goals than Vanek last year.

The Defense is upgraded to as you said one of the most expensive but also one of the best.

What's the meaning of ROR trade to Montreal? Why not exchange it for some other command only for the first or first picks.

Sure a first may be better, I like this better just my preference. IMO Botterill would draft really well.

Thank you for your comment. I do not want to convince you, I am only providing my rational. I saw a post by a CBJ CF GM who traded him for a 2nd. I just do not know how to value Beaulieu, he is only a year away from a 28 pt season, so if a GM thinks he can return to that, he is worth a 3rd and maybe a 2nd. Again I do not know the value of Girgensons, he had one decent year then nothing. He even had time with Eichel and O'Reilly and did not produce as well as expected. So I will succumb to your evaluation and not include this trade in future teams.

really like the NYI trade... good hockey deal as they say lol....i think Carlson will need to be paid more if hes going to sign in BUF . especially with cap going up i mean the dude had 68 points from the back end this year. norris snub imo hes going to get paidddddd id bet 8-8.5 mil if he signs in BUF otherwise he signs for 7 with a cup contender or stays in Wash. nice team though the second line is a bit shaky

Thank you for your feed back.
I buggered, I have tons of cap space to offer him more. I agree with your evaluation, I do not know why I left it as low as I did.

that being said, i love the move to sign carlson. Im almost always against making big moves in Free agency but Carlson is exactly what this team needs right now. hes playing the best hockey of his career and the minutes he will lov will help ease pressure of Risto and could help Dahlin develop properly. It makes a lot of sense to sign him especially with all the playoff experience and now maybe a cup. the dude is a winner idc if we have cap problems in a few years if we have Jack and Casey down middle and Carlson and Dahlin on back end we should be set

I am adding two of Washington's defensemen. Hopefully they can change that locker room culture. Orpik will be an on line coach to shepherd Dahlin through the NHL culture. Carlson will take the work load off of all defense. Thank you for your comments. I may need to embellish some of the trades but that is not a major change.
