De Hann is a LHD and Bogo is a RHD, why would we trade Edmundson for a RHD that's extremely overpaid and always hurt when we have Pietrangelo and Parayko already playing that side?? If you trade Edmundson, especially to Buffalo, it has to be for O'rielly or a top 6 Center.

I don’t but how do you guys undervalue your players like Fabbri? He’s the best young forward talent they have 3mill is a bargain for someone who will be make 6mill in 3 years

Five stars my friend.
I think you are one of the few CF GM who understand that just because a player is hurt does not mean he has no value. IMO Botterill would be willing to hold back part of his salary to help consummate this trade, I do not think Jason would move Zach for much less than this..

Who’s right here ? I feel like you guys just say things but don’t actually know value in players and what that means for they’re cap hit...

Fabbri has not played in two years, he has huge risk in what his abilities will be so a 1-2 year deal at like 1-2 mil my guess would be 2 years 1.5 mil.
Edmundson is a young up and coming solid shut down d man. That is currently making a mil and uping his game and production each year. Will probably get e bridge deal at like 2 years 2-3 mil or hopefully a 4 year deal around like 3.5 mil. Similar player to an Erik Gudbranson but stays healthier.

7 Genos 10 apples last year 24 and going to have a larger role than last year that’s a bargain. Look up other defense with those points at that age again

With that money you're are basically saying Edmundson is just as good as Barberio, Rutta, Gudbranson, etc. The man takes 20 minutes a night, a 51.5 CF% and a 52.3 FF%, when you're talking about D-men you have to take more than just points into consideration.

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about because he made 1,050,000 last 2 years, and had his best season. 200,000 raise for a sign in trade is a steal. With a larger role if they kept him for 3 more years that still is a steal. Please take a seat

Edmundson isn't signing for 3 years at 1.25. He will be stepping in as our 1LD next year with Bouw probably missing the begining/most of the season. This year he was already taking over most of those duties. His TOI/Points/Usage continue to go up, and he had good chemistry with Petro. He will either be bridged 1-2 years are 2.5-3 if Army feels he needs extra cap from to add Tavaras + top6 addition, or he will be locked up 5-6 between 4-4.5.

Fabbri isn't getting 3 years at 3 million coming off back-to-back ACL injuries and not playing for 1.5 years. He will probably sign a 2 year prove-it deal between 1.5-2.3. This provides him security if he gets injured again, and gives the blues flexibility in the event the same happens. It also prevents the blues from being backed into a corner if he returns to form and lights it up next year before having to resign him.

We also aren't going to trade our 1LD for what would be our 3RD that can't stay healthy and has a higher cap hit + signing an inferior LD at 4m/year. Basically Edmunson + Bortuzzo/Schmaltz >>> Bogosian + Dehaan + cap inceases.

And we can get value for Sobotka on his own without having to trade our best LHD.

Then they shouldn't be making the same money. Edmundson deserves at least 2.5, as he's a legit top four defender.

Edmundson will get more, we don't have to argue, just wait a few more weeks and see for yourself. Plus, signing him for 3 years would be the worst possible scenario - that would put him into UFA status because he'll be age 27 for his next contract. Either bridge him at like 2.75m x 2 or go big at like 3.75m x 5 or 6.

I can agree with that if he pans out in 3 years
