The defense here are ****.... Merrill is not a top 4 D... Bowey should not be in the top 6 especially not paired with Djoos! No reason to resign DSP... try again

Where do you think Bowey should be playing if not on the 3rd pair? He's an NHL defenseman. Djoos is a very steady defenseman as well and he's proven so throughout the playoffs, I think Djoos - Bowey will be a future pair for years to come in Washington.

I like the signings as well, as long as Beagle and DSP aren't both signed so we have room for our young guys, either one is fine. I don't mind the trade, although if we are retaining 50% of Orpik's cap hit AND paying a 3rd rounder for Merrill, I don't think it's worth it. Djoos can play top 4 minutes next year with Carlson and the steady pairing of Orlov and Niskanen can continue.

Only thing is that Gruby is forgotten. Not sure where he is when he's an RFA, he should be signed or traded.

Pass on Roussel, Folin, Carey, and DSP. Better younger kids available in our system. Kempny>Merrill.

How can any of you pass on smith-pelley. Hes been incredible in the playoffs. Considering it will only take 1-1.5 million to sign him next year why let him go?
