With that cap going up he is. I would rather pay one great goalie a lot then two ok goalies that add up to it. Bob hasn't played well in the playoffs but he's a talented guy with plenty of years left in the tank. It's either do this, trade for one or sign two goalies that add up to the same price. The term is a little long I agree but you might have to do it. It would be nice if we could draft a goalie instead but they are hard to come by.

That is very true and I think Columbus moves him but I also think we'd trade him before letting him walk but that being said 9 would make him the second highest paid goalie in the NHL and towards the end of the contract it'll turn into a bad contract to take.... If I were you I'd go after Grubauer from Washington... he might be cheaper but you'll have to trade for him.

WIngs will hold on to a Daley, hes on a good value short term contract. They will probably wait and trade him at the 2020 deadline. 9 mil for bob is too much more like 7 mil.

With bob being a free agent next offseason id rather trade for a guy who maybe a starter and hope we get lucky befote we start throwing too much at a goalie. Trade for jarry, kinkaid or grubby althoufh he'll cost more.
