How does the cap situation look with full team this year and then next when he signs for 9+ million? Benning will likely make ~700k more then that as well

Benning didn’t play as well and if I were Pete I would give him 1 250 000 at most, he sucked for pretty much both years And NHL is adding a new salary cap in the next few years so Ekman-Larsson would be paid estimated 8-11 million without troubles. https://www.tsn.ca/golden-knights-success-to-help-push-salary-cap-to-78-82-million-next-season-1.1097245

Benning hasn't played badly for a 3rd pairing guy, he struggles still vs top guys but being RHD I feel he will get closer to 2M then 1M

I am still deciding on the fourth line. If the Oilers have a fourth line it would definitely be people that are getting paid under 1 mill in the farm system
