That is kinda the point, I don't see us winning anything next year, Ill take a down year and better draft picks to make a run at Panarin in 2019.

I feel like CBJ will do everything in their power to keep Panarin. He's their only gamebreaker. And I'm not sure why he'd want to leave, he's obviously finding success there.

Its really a hope that he wants to play with Tarasenko and likes the prospect of sticking to the team that traded him on a regular basis. I can't imagine that Panarin signs before free agency, he'd be crazy to but I agree that CBJ will do anything to try to keep him.
