Description
The salary cap space is negative because I just added the call ups on the roster, so it wouldn’t actually work like that. And Nurse’s contract is a bridge contract that’s why it’s only 4.5 million.

I think it would work like that...

Even if you remove two call ups you are still over.

    Nurse will get more.

Welcome to Peter Chiarelli. Good thing Russell, Sekera and Lucic all have NTC's.

I never said that "I think” and Nurse’s is a bridge contract so he wouldn’t get the 5-7 million. After the 1 year he’d obviously get more. And yes I agree, Also when did I say that Chiareli is Einstein.

I never said you did. You said "The salary cap space is negative because I just added the call ups on the roster, so it wouldn’t actually work like that".

What I am telling you is I THINK that it would work like that. You would still be over the Cap, Nurse will not sign that deal, bridge or not. There are a few things A) A fair Bridge would be 2 @ 5m Look at Klefbom's contract. Nurse is much more important. Does the organization really want to play chicken with him and risk losing him? B) IF they could convince him to sign that Contract it would be with the understanding his next deal would make up for it. There is no money to do that. C) A team could offer more on an offer sheet and only have to give up a 2nd pick - There is NO WAY he signs that deal. I am guessing he gets at least 5.9m - enough to make teams think about it. Washington/Toronto two teams that I am 100% sure would give up a low 1st and a low 3rd for Nurse

If you remove Caleb Jones and Brad Malone, you are still over.
